Peter Obi Visits IDP Camp in Wassa FCT.
Peter Obi, the Labour party political aspirant who in no doubt has attracted a lot of attention from his campaigns, has said he visited the displaced Nigerians in the IDP camp in Wassa, FCT. He made mention of this when he took a post and some photos of the event to his social space on Facebook.
The presidential aspirant wrote that these IDP’s, unlike most Nigerians, cannot enjoy the New Year in safety of their homes. He went further to say they were forced to abandon their homes due to the perversive insecurity.
Peter Obi added that government has a responsibility to alter their circumstances, in line with its responsibility to protect her citizens.
The photos he shared were very informative. One of them showed the presidential aspirant applauding the people in joy while some of them hailed the man in return.
There was also one where some of the people, mostly women, sat down with smiles on their faces looking at the political aspirant and those who came with him.
Young ones were not the only people who were there. The elderly ones were also part of the scene as another photo showed the political aspirants and the elderly people who were at the scene.
The interesting thing about this post is that it got a lot of reactions from the public. As at the time of writing this article, the post had gone two hours into the public space but it had gathered five thousand reactions and over eight hundred comments. This shows that there are people who wanted to share their views on what they taught about.
Scrolling through a quota of the comments, you would notice that many of the people are in full support of the aspirations of this presidential candidate. There was one who prayed that God should see him through.
There was another who wished him a happy new year and said that Nigeria would be better with a great man with vision like him. Others also banked their comments on the social space. Screenshot of some of the comments is shown below.
