Gov. Sanwo-Olu Reveals Projects That Were Commissioned In Lagos State By Buhari.
The Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has revealed some projects that were commissioned in Lagos state by President Muhamadu Buhari. Among the projects mentioned were the Lekki Deep sea port, the Lagos Rice mill, Imota, eighteen point seventy five kilometers Eleko-Epi road pavement, six lane Expressway, first phase of the Blue Light Rail from Md Turo to Main and Others. Sanwo-Olu wrote on his social media page and I quote:
“Today, Lagos experienced a festival of projects, as His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari arrived our dear State to commission our legacy projects."
"President Buhari who will be on a two-day working visit will be commissioning the Lekki Deep Seaport, the Lagos Rice Mill, Imota, 18.75killometers Eleko-Epe rigid pavement six lane Expressway, First Phase of the Blue Light Rail from Mile Two to Marina and the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History."
"His first port of call was the Lekki Deep Seaport, after inspecting the guard of honour at the parade ground.”
In later times, the governor also revealed another project that was commissioned. He said:
“Also commissioned today, was the Lagos Rice Mill in Imota, where the “Eko Rice” will be produced.
The Lagos Rice Mill, Imota, is the biggest rice mill in West Africa, a 2 x 16 Metric Tonnes per hour mill, standing on an area of 8.5 hectares of land, with an annual paddy requirement of about 240,000 Metric Tonnes to produce 2.5 million bags of 50Kg rice per annum.
The mill will generate about 250,000 direct and indirect jobs to Lagosians.”
