2 Things RSU Leaving Faculties Would Still Come Back To The Main Campus to Do.

It was revealed in November, two thousand and twenty two that there are faculties in the Rivers State university that would be transferred to the new RSU building that has been constructed in Ahoda local government of Rivers State. These faculties are the faculties of humanities and the faculties of social sciences.

Despite the full relocation of the students of these faculties, I am of the opinion that they would still come back to the main campus for these two purposes. These three purposes do not have anything to do with learning but without them, a student may rather become an incomplete Alumini of the Rivers State University. Without further ado, they are as follows:

Matriculation Ceremony:

The matriculation ceremony of RSU is mostly done in school’s convocation arena that is located in the main campus. Every student, irrespective of department or faculty, is expected to be there for this ceremony as this is where they would be present before the university authority and formally welcomed and accepted by the university.

This university has never had a double matriculation ceremony and I don’t think that they would do that anytime soon. Therefore, I feel that the fresh students of these faculties and those from these leaving faculties who would want to attend the matriculation ceremony would surely come back to the main campus to attend this event else they may be at risk missing out on every detail of the event.

The Convocation Ceremony:

The convocation ceremony is also done in the school’s environment and not any external place. I feel that no matter where the students are, they would surely come back to the main campus at mile three to do their convocation ceremony when the time is due.

What are your thoughts on this?
