Why More Students Should Take Part in the Rice 360 Program That Goes on in the University of Lagos

 The University of Lagos made a post of the grandaunts of the Rice 360 program that is carried out within their borders from time to time. The school has a studio called the UNILAG Design Studio and it is a product of the collaboration between the University of Lagos and Rice360 Institute for Global Health Technologies in the USA.

This program is a very special and I feel that more schools should participate in it. UNILAG wrote that they received applications from fifteen institutions nationwide whereas there are more than one hundred schooling and training institutions in Nigeria. Could the rest of the crowd be unaware of this initiative or they simply don' t want to take advantage of it?

Be that as it may, I feel that the reason why many institutions should take part of this is to facilitate the expansion of medical research in the country.

It was noted that the grandaunts of the Rice360 program in UNILAG all solved some technical challenging issues in the area of medical issues in Nigeria. The four teams they graduated came up with brilliants inventions that would help to stop infant mortality due to premature birth, and other disturbing medical challenges.

This kind of invention has no doubt led to an increased expansion in the medical research of the country. Who would have known that this is possible? If four teams consisting of three team members each could make this breakthrough, how much more ten teams or even more who have the same desire for tech and medical research expansion?

They would surely make the growth move faster than the rate we know of now. It would surely bring solutions to even more challenging problems in the medical sector than the one we are seeing now and this would lead to a better Nigeria.
